COMEX Copper breaks well above $5 per pound

COMEX Copper futures edged up impressively above $5 per pound, hitting about three-month high as US-China trade negotiators reported major progress on a potential trade deal, according to media reports. The counter currently trades at $5.17 per pound, up 1% on the day. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index zoomed up 1.18% to a hit decade high on trade deal hopes. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index jumped 1.05%. Japan Nikkei 225 index rallied 2.46% to hit a fresh record high. European stocks saw tight moves but stayed largely supported. The US equities saw good gains on Friday with the Dow jumped 1%.
