MCX Copper falls under Rs 900 per kg mark

COMEX Copper pulled back today after recording massive gains this week as tepid equities weighed on the sentiments. The red metal came off its ten month high and currently trades at $5.05 per pound, down 1.10% on the day. The counter is still up 3.20% this week. On the MCX, Copper futures for March fell under Rs 900 per kg mark and currently trade at Rs 899 per kg, down 0.93% on the day. In equities today, China's Shanghai Composite index fell 1.29% while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index lost 2.19%. Japanese Nikkei index eased 0.20%. European stocks slipped with major indices down around half a percent. The US stocks dipped yesterday amid sustained worries on the economic front and global geo-politics.
