MCX precious metals stayed under pressure today though there is immense volatility. MCX Gold futures tanked to a low near Rs 95400 per 10 grams before rising in the afternoon and currently quotes at Rs 96904 per 10 grams, down 0.19% on the day. Bulk of these gains were due to a sharp slide in Indian Rupee though as INR lost around 90 paise on the day against US dollar. MCX Silver is up 0.10% at Rs 95803 per kg, bouncing from a low under Rs 95K mark. Global bullion futures are in deep red though with COMEX Gold off 1% at $3360 per ounce and Silver down 0.57% at $32.61 per ounce.
