Precious Metals Preview: COMEX gold lacks luster; focus shifts to US data

COMEX gold prices continue to stay tepid tracking firmness in dollar overseas as focus turns to the long-awaited return of US economic data. The FOMC Minutes and US September Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report would be the key takeaways this week. Also, recent hawkish remarks from the Fed officials have reduced expectations of a December rate cut and are contributing to limiting upside for the yellow metal. COMEX gold futures are seen trading at $4059 per ounce in early Asia on Wednesday, down 0.17% on the day while DXY is holding well above 99 mark.
