COMEX Silver futures hit three and half month high above $34 per ounce mark but failed to sustain and ended around $32.80 per ounce. India's Gold imports came in at Rs 23176 crore in value terms in January 2025, up 34.17% compared to January 2024. Silver imports surged by 90% on year to Rs 7619 crore in the month. Near term bullion spot market trend will be keenly eyed now as spot Silver has hit Rs 1 lakh per kg now. Gold imports value in first nine months of current fiscal rose by 34% on year while Silver imports during the same period spiked by around 45%. On a monthly basis, Gold imports fell by 42% while Silver imports jumped by around 107%.
