Copper sees sharp spurt after recent losses

Copper climbed on Wednesday as dollar stays muted ahead of the crucial FOMC announcement due later in the global day. Rising global equities boosted the metal after its recent slide to four month low. COMEX Copper futures currently trade up 1.49% at $4.14 per pound. Solid gains emerged in Asian stocks. China's Shanghai Composite index and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index jumped around 2%. Japan's Nikkei 225 index spiked 1.50%. European stocks gained today with indices in UK and France soaring more than 1% each. The US stock indexes saw choppy moves on Tuesday. While the tech-heavy Nasdaq moved sharply lower, the Dow ended the day with good gains.
